Express Entry
Express entry online application system for permanent residence for skilled workers. There are some eligibility criteria and documents required to apply for this program and apply only to Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class Immigration Program, and Federal Skilled Trades Program. Express Entry is a most popular immigration system, ranking all eligible candidates against one another and then inviting the candidates to apply for permanent resident in Canada. How does it work?
After meeting the eligibility criteria applicants need to submit an online profile known as an Expression of interest (EOI), under one of 3 federal Canada immigration programs to the Express Entry Pool. There is a points-based system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) in this system Candidates’ profiles are ranked against each other. The highest-ranked candidates will be considered for an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residence. Those receiving an ITA must quickly submit a full application and payment processing fees, within a delay of 90-days. The federal government aims to process complete PR applications in only 6 months.

Apply Process for Express Entry
It’s a two-step process. As a first step, you required the below-mentioned documents
- Language test results
- A passport or travel document
- Educational credential assessment report
After submitting your profile. You will get an invitation to apply. You will need to provide a more considerable application that includes medical test results, reference letters, additional identity documents etc.
The requirement to create Express Entry profile

- Language Test- Candidates must show English or French language proficiency. You require official test scores from an approved language test, minimum scores requirement varies between the three Express Entry-aligned programs.
- Educational Credentials Assessment (ECA): The Educational Credentials Assessment is an evaluation of non-Canadian education by Canadian standards. And only a mandatory requirement for the Federal Skilled Worker Class, FSTC and CEC candidates also complete an ECA report, as it very important factor for CRS score. If educational programs completed in Canada, then ECA is not required
- Passport: To submit an Express Entry profile you must have a valid passport In as an alternative identification document is may be accepted in very rare cases.
